The owner and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Swedish gambling company Svenska Spel have different ideas about how to manage the company. That’s the reason why the Svenska Spel’s CEO Jesper Kärrbrink decided to resign the company. He said that though it was impossible to find an agreement between him and the owner of the company, it would be better if they find someone else who could take his place.
Recently the company found a new employee, the Chairwoman Margareta Winberg. Ms. Winberg confirmed that Mr. Kärrbrink didn’t approve the ideas of the company owner and that resigning the Svenska Spel he did the right thing, because it would be impossible for him to work there any longer.

The former Social Democratic Deputy Prime Minister M. Winberg declared to differ from Mr. Kärrbrink ideas at the time she was appointed, but the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet proved the contrary. It seems that in an interview, published by the Svenska Dagbladet, M.Winberg criticised the way the Svenska Spel is managed, especially the way its approach to the social responsibility.

She claims the company is just interested in promoting new games, which makes more people gamble, instead it should use a different strategy like the country’s alcohol monopoly for example that deters their clients from drinking rather than advertise their products.
